boburnham HUSTLERS, as many of you know, is playing everywhere this weekend. What many of you don’t know is just how special this film is. I have had a front row seat to the making of this movie, having lived with the genius who made it as she struggled to convince people that this was a movie worth making — and furthermore, that she should direct it. Many told her no, that though she wrote the script, and had directed two beautiful films prior to this, that she was not the right fit to direct it. Those people now sell cream cheese for a living or something, I assume. This movie is brilliant and warm and funny and sexy just like the woman who made it. I love this movie and I love her. 👠👠

boburnham EIGHTH GRADE is now playing in these 11 cities: AUSTIN, BOSTON, CHICAGO, LOS ANGELES, MINNEAPOLIS, NEW YORK, PHOENIX, SAN FRANCISCO, SEATTLE, TORONTO, WASHINGTON D.C. It may seem like a small movie but it is meant to be watched big and loud in a theater. Thank you to everyone who is supporting the film. Go, bring people, tell people. As is probably clear at this point, I care very much about this movie.
