therock Past few days I’ve been stunned trying make sense of George Floyd’s death.
The plea for breath.
The callous response.
This is our ongoing disease.
I’ve had cops in my family.
And there’s a cop code, granting you the authority to use force if your life is in danger.
But when a man is handcuffed, on the ground, no longer a threat, with your brothers in arms standing around watching and he struggles to say, “please I can’t breathe” when your knee is on his neck.. not his back, but his neck - cutting off his air.
Cop code must become moral code.
Knowing that if you don’t ease up, then that man is going to die.
So when you decide to not ease up, your intention is to kill.
And that’s what this was.
George Floyd, said “officer I can’t breathe” as he struggled for air.
He said these words a total of 15 times. Not once. Not twice.
These officers will be charged, I’m positive of that.
But then where’s the greater accountability?
The leadership to healing.
More importantly, the leadership to EQUALITY.
We ultimately win when we can normalize equality.
I’m so sorry to the Floyd family. My heart breaks for you.
Let the process begin now.

therock The risk was two fold/
I retired on top as pro wrestling’s #1 draw.
And coming from the world of wrestling, the odds were stacked against me of having a Hollywood career that had any kind of long term, substantial global influence and value.
After a bewildering 7 year career as a wrestler, I kept my hand shake bond - finished out my contractual obligations and quietly retired.
But I knew in heart and in my gut what my WHY was.
Once we identify OUR WHY, then our actions have powerful purpose.
Almost 10yrs later in 2012, I returned to the industry that’s in my blood.
I returned to the @wwe to give back.
To bring value and impact the bottom line.
Proud to say when I returned we, as a team - set all time box office and PPV records that will never be broken.
And in 2014, I wrestled my very last match at WrestleMania in New York at a sold out Met Life Stadium.
My wrestling career ended the only way I was willing — flat on my back, getting beat 1, 2, 3, looking up at the stars and being grateful for my blessings.
I went out the right way.
The respectful way.
I retired from wrestling in 2013.
Grateful to the bone.
And on my shield🛡

therock This one caught my eye. Beautiful post and dedication from @cgivens408 to his pregnant wife @lilmissroughit.
Congratulations brother to you both and I’ll raise a @teremana toast to your blessings.
Clearly this baby is gonna have great tastes 😉🥃
@therock my wife had her birthday on the 29th of March. It was a close gather with just her, our daughter, and me. She was feeling down since we couldn't get out and celebrate with mini golf and a quite lunch. I could see that and went out to surprise her the day before. I got a pinata filled with her favorite candy, hats, decorations for the house, and a bundt cake from a bakery that thankfully wasn't closed. It was a great time and on her birthday got up and made pancakes and biscuits and gravy. But what's also special (and a bit scary at times) and can see is that she's pregnant. Just into her third trimester we decided to get our bottles of @teremana and keep them until the special day. So I want to dedicate this #DosDeMana to her @lilmissroughit and the amazing woman she is. To our child who we don't know the gender yet, a special surprise. And to the tequila in our ears, the blessings we've been given, the mana in our hearts, and to those before use who've paved the way. Happy Birthday as well to you sir.

therock * with a lil’ 4yr old tornado 🌪 running around 😂❤️
This Mother’s Day, I’m sending out XTRA LOVE to all the TereMamas out there who’ve been tirelessly wearing all those extra hats from being a chef, teacher, entertainer, nurse and #1 play date for your babies at home - this drink is for you.
When you spoil your mamas this weekend, remember the magic ingredient is whatever their favorite spice, fruit or flavor is.
It’s up to her, cos Teremana goes with everything.
Remember to send in your videos of those beautiful faces being served their special Mamaritas this weekend.
Most importantly, have a happy, healthy and safe Mother’s Day.
And rose petals in the drink is always a beautiful touch 😉🌹
