As a DGA and SAG member I think about my sisters out there just starting out and hustling hard - and in a time where the minimums have become maximums, meeting the requirements for health insurance can be hard even without taking the necessary time off to have a baby. Admittedly, these issues were invisible to me before having my own baby and I hope that using my voice will help make some common sense changes so we can lift new moms up so they can take the time they need and deserve.
