iamkristindavisI’m not going to tell you that I am happy today. I am heavy with sadness , fluctuating with rage , at the horrific killing of innocent Black people in our country. I am struggling to strike a balance for my kids. Trying to focus on small pleasures , like wild poppies growing in an area that 7 months ago was burned ash. I hope that our country can heal at some point , obviously for our children. We must continue to stand up for justice. To support the Freedom Fighters go to

iamkristindavisI love this! So often we forget about the people who may find holidays difficult. I’m thinking of two special birth moms today and sending them love and forever gratitude . Also thinking of everyone who wants to be a parent , know that you will manifest that dream when you are ready 💕
iamkristindavisFound this old SATC pic. I always loved filming on the streets of NYC. Every take was different , always interesting . And the Nokia flip - ah memories .....

iamkristindavisOn this day May 2,2016 at the @sheldricktrust . One of my favorite places on Earth. I dream that I am there and it will be the first trip i will plan when we can travel again. Where do you wish you could go?
iamkristindavisThis is Challa , he is an ex- orphan bull now living wild after being raised by @sheldricktrust . He is one of the first ex- orphans i met in 2009 with Benjamin . This brings me so much joy to see them both 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
iamkristindavis#tbt also #travelphotography by @robertcarrhartley . In idyllic Lamu , Kenya. Near to Amu Ranch . A beautiful location that is being conserved with the participation of the local people. A wonderful trip to day dream about.....🌊⛵️🐘🦛🦒🐃🦓🐊🐒
iamkristindavisOn this #earthday we are certainly in a different situation to contemplate our existence on this planet. I am beyond thankful for my experiences traveling and especially the most important connection I ‘ve made in conservation- the @sheldricktrust . When i first met the Sheldricks in 2009 I never could have dreamed of the deep meaning my time with them in Tsavo would make in my life. To be in pristine nature without people is a gift these days. The @sheldricktrust is conserving land and ecosystems , which is key to the continuing biodiversity which makes our planet work. As LA has shut down during this pandemic , the change in the air, sky and animals is quite dramatic . The birds sing so loudly now 😊
I hope we can all remember our connection to the Earth and do all we can to help preserve her and the creatures who call her home 🌎🌍🌏

iamkristindavis@laboroflovefox is coming! Tune in May 21st to see our show. It’s quite fun and very interesting. My biggest surprise was the intensity of the men’s desire to have a baby too! Can’t wait for you all to see it. 💖 #laboroflove
iamkristindavisHappy Easter to all who celebrate. You know that Grandma is here if there are dyed eggs at my house. I’m so grateful that my kids are getting to spend this strange time with their Grandparents. Precious time indeed , and a huge help to my sanity as well! Hope that all of you are doing ok today. I’m sure it’s difficult to have holidays disrupted. I’m sending everyone love 💛

Take a look at this terrifyingly cute dance! This young fledgling Tawny Frogmouth is practicing her "warning dance". As a defense mechanism, they try to look as intimidating as possible by bobbing around just like this, opening their beak wide, spreading their wings out and making a growling sound. Has it scared you off?
iamkristindavisI have lived in the same house for 23 years. It has been my refuge above the madness. I thought I would live there forever , but being a mom to 2 kids meant I had to think of them and what they needed. So we moved, and I finally sold my houses. Closed today. Not without mixed emotions tho, honestly. I do know that we are living through unprecedented and crazy times in so many ways. And I am so grateful to the buyers ! But as my daughter said through tears “ It’s hard letting go of things you love. “ and this is most certainly true.
I am thankful for having this beautiful place to call my home for so long. Thankful for our new home. Thankful for all that I ‘ve been given.
I hope the new owners have the same experience of this special place ✨✨
iamkristindavisSeinfeld! What a great and nervous making time ! I am so lucky to have gotten to be around some incredibly talented people and I have learned so much along the way. Thank you @jerryseinfeld for letting me a teeny part of your iconic show. 🙏🏼 #tbt
iamkristindavisIt’s my birthday and I am so grateful to be alive! Honestly , my life has been filled with experiences I could never have imagined as a kid. I am so thankful for the opportunities I ‘ve had. And that comes from all of you supporting my work and my passions. 🙏🏼
This is a little bit of the magic that is the @sheldricktrust . As you all know i LOVE elephants! I have learned everything from my experience with the Sheldricks and the Keepers and the elephants themselves. I am grateful beyond what I can express with words.....
I made a documentary about the work the @sheldricktrust does, it’s called
Gardeners of Eden.
My birthday wish would be that you watch it - it’s on Netflix and also iTunes. Use the search to find the title . I know you are all busy , so I’m just putting it out there. I love our film , directed by Austin Peck and Anneliese Vandenberg . I know you will love it too!🐘
Have a wonderful day everyone and thank you for coming along on this journey with me 💚💚💚💚💚💚
iamkristindavisIt’s #loveyourpetday so I took some pics of my two furry companions , which was not easy! But everyday I get with them is a good day! Momma is an unknown age , having been rescued from the streets, but she is at least 16. Because her baby Sammy is 15😫
I am so lucky that I became their foster failure. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
iamkristindavisA different kind of #ValentinesDay post. 💙
Today I’m sending a thought to Catherine Funck, the incredible humanitarian worker I met in Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya. It’s the third largest camp in the world and many families there need round-the-clock support. It means people like Catherine often go months without seeing their own loved ones to make sure they can continue to care for and give support to @refugees.
Inspirational people like Catherine deserve our warmth today too! #WithRefugees
iamkristindavisGardeners of Eden is back on @netflix ! I’m so excited for all of you to see this documentary that I exec produced and financed about the work the @sheldricktrust does for elephants . The inspiration for all of the work i do for wild animals and the source of my knowledge , the brilliant Dame Daphne Sheldrick is featured in the documentary. Along with many cute baby elephants and first hand experience with the Sheldrick anti-poaching teams and vet teams. So many of our Keepers tell you about their work and about the specific elephants in the care of the Trust. I am thrilled to have the work of Anneliese Vandenberg and Austin Peck , our directors, back on Netflix ( in the US, UK, Australia and South Africa). I love our film and every elephant in it. You may need to search for the title , but i believe it Will be worth it !
I took this picture on my first visit to the Voi Rehabilitation Center in Tsavo. 💚🐘💚🐘💚
iamkristindavis#goals So many people in my life are struggling with different issues right now. My goal is to be like the trees I ‘ve been so lucky to live close too. Stand tall and strong. Good weather or bad. We can do it, I know we can ! 🌳✨💚
iamkristindavisThis magnificent elephant named Tim by @amboseli_trust , has left the Earth. So much sadness. But also gratitude in that it seems that he may have perished of natural causes . So many people worked so hard to protect him, and I am thankful for that- @biglifeafrica in particular. Thank you Tim for bringing such grace into our lives. Walk with the Great Ones on the other side. Thinking of everyone who loved this most gentle of giants.....💔 #Repost @elephantvoices ・・・
This is a repost of the magnificent Tim filmed a year ago when he was coming into musth. This morning this great elephant icon, who touched so many hearts and minds, was found dead. It is a sad day for thousands of people and elephants who knew and loved this remarkable giant. Our thoughts go most to members of the @amboseli_trust who named, monitored and loved this individual for almost 50 years. He will be remembered forever. 🐘

iamkristindavisOn this day in 2014 I was in Kenya with @sheldricktrust filming Gardeners of Eden. It was an epic trip, we went to Lamu then to Tsavo then to the Nairobi nursery. I ‘m revisiting these images because very soon Gardeners will be coming back to Netflix 🎉!!!!!
I look forward to new eyes seeing the incredible work that the Sheldrick Trust has been doing for over 40 years to save 🐘🦏🦒🦓 and any wild animal in need , through their vet units, desnaring teams , anti-poaching units, and orphan rescue and rehabilitation. And also saving habits and creating livelihoods for communities. 💚💚💚💚
iamkristindavisOne of the best parts of my job is getting to work with different people in different mediums. This is @johnstamos and I on Broadway ( every actor’s dream!!!!!!) in The Best Man. It was an incredible experience , i learned so much from the illustrious cast - Angela Landsbury, john Laroquette , James Early JONES. Just a dream from beginning to end. And John took such good care of me, he was a perfect co- star. ❤️❤️❤️ #tbt

iamkristindavisI love this dog and his account! He lives at the huge @refugees camp in Bangladesh that I visited- read on for inspiration.....
Repost @humanitarian_pup ・・・
If I’m totally honest with you my breed of dog (the desi dog or indog) is looked down upon by some in Bangladesh and considered lesser than purebreds from overseas. My colleagues have tried to protect me from this bias and I appreciate that but I still hear comments from people and they make me sad 😔 As my colleagues have come to know, I’m just like any other pupper in this world, looking for the love and respect of their human puppers and doggos. I don’t believe there’s any difference between me and a pup born in Argentina (the furthest country I could think of from Bangladesh). Maybe we have some different beliefs or attitudes but at the end of the day we’re biologically the same and capable of the same things. What makes pups (and humans) different is whether we have a positive support network, social safety nets, and the resources we need to reach our full potential. I’m a lucky one who found WFP where I eat, learn, and play as much as I need 🐶 some days it can be easy to lose site of the big picture and wonder what difference our work is making. But then I think about what my life might be like if I hadn’t found WFP and suddenly I realise that there are literally millions of people around the world thinking the same thing which makes me feel so much better. And a special thanks to you for giving me (and WFP) the support we need to make a difference to people’s lives 🐶
