miraduma When I was a kid and I saw my Mom do Easter Lent which included no meat, no fish, no dairy, and her favorite ice cream and chocolates that she can’t live without in her every day life, no TV ( or a digital and social media fast in today’s terms ) and the list goes on and on, I thought wow, will I ever be able to do this? For a full 40 days? How miserable can my life possibly be with so many restrictions? Until 33 I couldn’t have imagined I could do this.
After 33 years on this planet (it took me a while) I started to live like this every single day of my life and I’ve never been happier. I do a water fast once a week. I eat only once a day, and only plant-based food (it was a long 10 years path from first saying no to meat, then chicken then eggs, and now dairy, fish and seafood ). Never in my life have I enjoyed food as much as I do today. Suddenly I’ve discovered the world of food is so rich and has so much to offer. I only wish I started earlier. From legumes and lentils to sweet potatoes 🍠 and pumpkins 🎃 to quinoa, couscous, buckwheat and bulgur, seeds , avocados 🥑 , corn 🌽 soya, tofu, to keep exploring every day more than 391,000 vascular species plants which are also one of the main source of medicines and vitamins to over 90 plant species 🌱 like vegetables, flowers, fruits, cereals, grains and grasses that are still the dominant life form on Earth today 🌎 and if we go into my favorite seaweed farming trend, this one post will not be enough. For anyone who feels this is propaganda, it is.
