I applaud Ronan’s courage, matched only by the courage of those who spoke out, and the evenness of his reporting under extraordinary pressure. Outstanding.

For the fight for the rainforests, the rights of their peoples, and the survival of us all.
In 1988 Sting and I visited the Amazon rainforest in Brazil for the first time, a trip which inspired us to begin our Rainforest Fund organisation in order to help the indigenous peoples who've lived there for thousands of years to protect their land and their forests. Over the past 30 years this work has spread to 23 countries over 3 continents. But the need for action to protect the rainforests and their indigenous people has never been more urgent. Keeping existing forests and planting new ones is one of the most efficient ways to tackle the climate crisis. Nature has already provided us with the best solution - tropical forests store carbon. We need them! On December 9th we will present our 30th anniversary fundraising concert for the Rainforest Fund, to continue this vital work. We’re so excited, the line up is already amazing!
